Thursday. Erasmus Party tonite at 10pm, down at the Roko Bar. Well they have it almost every month actually. Nationwide. Europewide probably. Google it up :)
So the party started at home. Had a few people over. Got them all to mingle about. With the music pumping in the background. And had it all subjugated with a flow of drinks.
Beer is standard of course. Then comes some wine if you fancy that. Or if you're a bit hardcore, there's always Tequila or some fowl-piss Vodka like the Absolut. In Germany (or anywhere in the world), Jägermeister would probably ring lots of bells (or some). Chances are when you're in a party, die Jägermeister would come as the secondary. Kinda like a grenade, to do that bit of damage a beer just couldn't. Like a Tequila Shot. But a little smoother down with a somewhat sweet taste and a scent of herbs. After all, it is made from 51 herbs and spices.
Funny bit is how Jägerbomb isn't part of the game here. Or perhaps known by another name, the Turbojäger. Either way, it's a great drink.
As you may already know, this is a small city and one for students. Nevertheless, one shan't expect much from the clubbing scene here. Mediocre at best. Small crowds mostly. But fresh faces I suppose. Given the name of the party, Erasmus are students on-the-go. Their usually in one place for a semester and off to the next. Quite the life I would imagine. Sponsored to study, party and travel.
Roko Bar was a sad scene for the evening. At around 11ish with crowds of not more than 20. I was told though that usually the place would be packed with numbers ranging from the 50s onward. So pack was the bar people flooded up to the open air outside. But that wasn't happening tonight.
Being young and full of fire (or more like the thirst to party onwards having seen the disappointment at Roko), we headed out to where it's happening. With our bicycles, we pedalled to the club within the main campus known as Vertigo. And sure enough, the crowd was here. Some chilling outside, others bouncing about on the dance floor. Having paid €8.90 for 3 beers and 2 tequila shots, this is probably a level up from prices at Roko. But it was all good. Beer does that.
