Göttingen-D280811-Day 005

A view from my room with bits of the Georg-August-Universitäts Klinikum Göttingen to the right (mainly the carpark).

Another boring day. Can't wait for the day to just roll over to Montag (Monday) so I can get some paperwork done once again. And visit the shops. Talking about paperwork, there are plenty of it here in Germany. It's funny how much they like paper. Even for job applications whereby some will only take in applications by post. Snail mail. I guess they just love the smell of paper. The tradition perhaps. Everyone loves to receive mail as in the physical, tangible thing I suppose, even I. But what of the trees? What of going green?

As it is Sonntag (Sunday) today, everything's closed for the day. Except for a few restaurants I guess. A good day for bumming around. Do some sports. A picnic? Where I come from, nothing gets closed. Not the shops, not the restaurants and especially not the shops. Weekend's like the only time normal working people get to go out and shop afterall. Right? It's real life-oriented here and I dig it. But boy, guess it sucks to be coming into town on a Sunday then.

The day is getting colder with dark clouds above and visible signs of "rain" falling in the distance. Surprisingly, there are a lot of ambulances coming in and out of the Klinikum next door (even on a Sonntag). Think I saw three Heli-ambulances today. Busy city this; busy being rescued...busy doing the rescues.
